Question about adding text notes to charts

Is there a way to set things so that when I click on text under the drawings tab or F12 it automatically loads a preset color and font type?

The color I would like to use is custom color FF7E00 with Arial font (see attached).

Hello Jasonw,

You could draw some text, right click on the text> properties, then set the color as you’d like, then hover over template>Save and be sure to save it as Default.

Now going forward anytime you draw text it will use those defaults.

Should you wish to edit the template file, you could go to MyDocuments>NT8>templates>DrawingTool>Text, and edit the .xml file. You could then pass the custom color you’d like in place of the existing color.
