Migrating to NT8 from NT7 Experiences

I have been using NT 7 for 3 years and thinking about upgrading to NT 8 but would like to know how others have done with the transition. Happy with 7 now but the some of the new bells and whistles look appealing in particular the multi treaded programming and a faster strategy analyzer. I am running an 8 core processor with 16 gigs of memory.

I have some custom scripts that are doing fine and will have to spend some time converting them but not a big deal.

The question is to switch to NT8 or stick with the tried and true NT7?

How long will there be support for NT7?

As your question is more oriented to opinion this thread will remain open for any community members that would like to voice their experience.

I want to mention at this time NinjaTrader 7 does not have an end of life date and will be supported for the foreseeable future.

NinjaTrader 8 and NinjaTrader 7 can also be installed on the same machine. I would encourage you to (shutdown nt7 first, then) install NinjaTrader 8 and give it a try.
