    Chart won't load when connected to iqfeed

    My chart wont load when connected to iqfeed as the data source. they load fine when connected to Interactive Brokers. Trying to load a chart for NQ. My iqfeed is enabled for NQ is use the same feed with InvestorRT and data loads fine. Any tips what settings to check?

    Hello akonkol2,

    Can you please check what IQFeed Client Software version you have installed. Make sure you have version 5.1.1.3. You can download it from the IQFeed connection guide below.


    I suggest to reset the instruments and check if this allows you to load data in charts when connected to IQFeed. To reset your instruments, please take the steps below.

    - First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
    - Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
    - In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update
    - Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur

    If the issue remains, please send me your log and trace files so I can investigate. Log and trace files can be found at the following locations.

    Windows start menu-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->log

    Windows start menu-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->trace

    Right click the log and trace folder and select Send to-->Compressed (zipped) folder. Subsequently attach both .zip files in your email and send it to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Please put 'Att Jason, http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...d.php?t=102372' in the subject field.

      Do we really need IQFeed Client Software version 5.1.1.3 for NinjaTrader 8?

      The latest version of IQFeed Client Software is 5.2.6.0 March 21st, 2017.

        Hello Jones,

        Yes, you need IQFeed Client Software version 5.1.1.3 as the IQFeed connection guide mentions it under Requirements.
