Multiple monitors

Some of my customers are having an issue with performance slow down and freezing.

Here is the DirectX error message :

A directX Error has occured while rendering the chart : Value does not fall within the expected range HR Code: -2147024809

Also just after the chart froze I could see this message from his log tab :
NinjaTrader has detected your system is entering a suspended state.

These customers seem to have something in common they use more than one monitor.

Any idea ?

Thanks for opening the thread.

To better understand the error received, I would suggest to repeat the steps the customer took using a tool like the Playback Connection to go over that range in Market Replay data.

The message from the log "NinjaTrader has detected your system is entering a suspended state." indicates that the PC was entering sleep mode or hibernation mode. You may wish to trigger such events to reproduce the issue at hand.

As the error relates to DirectX, I would suggest to begin reviewing any OnRender() code to see if the error is produced from there. Adding Prints could also tell you how far the code is getting before this issue occurs.

If you can reduce the NinjaScript to a simple test case that demonstrates an issue with the NinjaTrader platform by following some clear steps, we can report the issue to development team to get the ball rolling on a fix.
