change default background color when opening chart indicator

I have an indicator when loaded has some text displayed. What I want to do is identify the chart background when the indicator is loaded. If the background is black make the text white and if the chart background is white make the text black.


if(ChartControl.Properties.ChartBackground == Brushes.Black)
{
eBrushColor = Brushes.White;
}

I tried but I am not sure if I am doing this correct

and if this is correct where do I place the code

Thank you for the post.

You can access the ChartBackground property to change the Entire background at once, this could look like:

if(ChartControl != null)
{
    ChartControl.Properties.ChartBackground = Brushes.Red;
}
