My position entry always 1 bar late

Hi,

What is the reason why my position entry always 1 bar later than the indicator? And this, most of the time, is the difference between profit and loss. So, how can I improve that. Thanks!

Thanks for opening the thread.

Strategy logic in OnBarUpdate() will occur for every bar close for Calculate.OnBarClose and will happen for each incoming tick when using Calculate.OnEachTick.

You can use Calculate.OnEachTick to have your strategy logic check conditions on each tick instead of waiting for the bar close to get quicker fills.
