Thanks for writing in to our Support team.

The OnBarsUpdate(object sender, BarsUpdateEventArgs e) method is a custom method that is only used in that script and is used in conjunction with the Update event handler object. The BarRequest's Update event provides the BarsUpdateEventArgs that this method accepts as an argument.

You can see the Update event being assigned in line 346 in the SuperDomColumn Volume code.
