    Alert to identify a sequence of plot movements

    Hello,

    I know how to create a basic alert for NT8. But in this case, I would like to create one which looks back say over the last 15 bars, and where a minimum of 3 of the last 4 major movements of the plot is up, to give an alert. What I am stuck with is how to define the condition for where "a minimum of 3 of the last 4 major movements (I'll use over a certain % or value) of the plot is up". Is there a sample that I can be pointed to that will help? Do I need to be using arrays for this?

    Thanks.

    Hello GeorgeW,

    I'm not aware of an existing indicator that provides this custom logic.

    You can loop through previous bars and do comparisons.

    For example:

    Code:
    int barsToCheck = Math.Min(CurrentBar, 4);
    for (int i = 0; i < barsToCheck; i++)
    {
    if (Close[i] > Open[i])
    {
    // bar is a green bar
    }
    }
    This would loop through the last 4 bars or as many bars are available if there are less than 4 bars and check that the close is greater than the open.
