    ForceRefresh()

    hello

    How do I refresh chart often than each 250ms available by ForceRefresh()?
    I was trying to refresh by ChartContorl.Parent.RootVisual.InvalidateVisual() (or something like that) but got object belongs to other thread error.
    Do I need Add-On window to draw graphics with faster refresh rate?

    Hello ren37, and thank you for your question.

    Generally with respect to the error you received, you can resolve these kinds of situations by using a Dispatcher method. I am including publicly available MSDN C# documentation for more information.

    This said, the object you are trying to access, the timer for the refresh rate, is not one that is likely to be kept in any object's memory in an accessible way. An add-on window will probably be the best approach.

    A good compromise solution would be creating an add-on that implements OnWindowCreated. This window could then access your chart directly, and draw onto it as a WPF window (linked documentation publicly available) directly whenever you'd like. You could then create a timer you control for this rendering.
