NT8 Heikin Ashi Bars Coming Soon?

    Hello,

Heikin Ashi bars are an important part of my chart analysis; are you folks going to be adding that indicator to NT8, as it is in NT7, any time soon?

    Hello i2w8am9ii2,

    Thanks for your post.

Heiken-Ashi has been available in NT8 since the first beta release. In NT8 it has been implemented as a bar type. You can find this in the data series menu where you would select the bar type. The Heiken-Ashi bar type has base period types of Tick, Volume, Second, Minute, Day, week, month and Year.

If you need Heiken-Ashi for Range, Renko or other bar types, you would need to add the NT8 Heiken-Ashi indicator, available since beta 7, which can be found in the NT8 indicator file sharing area. For your convenience here is a link: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...hp?&linkid=730

I downloaded this script and when I try to import it gives me an error. The message says that the script has an error and it needs to be fixed first. Any idea why I am getting this ? and how can I resolve this?

          Hello 17311ravi,

          Thanks for your post.

The indicator imports fine here, it may be that you have other programming errors in your platform.

To get started diagnosing, please send your log and trace files in an e-mail to PlatformSupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]com. Mark the e-mail atten: Paul and include a link to this thread for reference. Here are the directions for adding log and trace files to the e-mail:

Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to the email.
Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
