    Locking overlaid Indicators

Hi, I have 2 indicators overlaid onto 1 panel. I moved one over the other and want to know if there's a way to lock them both together, so the stay glued to the scales. I suppose I could integrate them both into one indicator, but for various reasons I prefer not to. One image is the overlay the other is both separated.

    Thanks,

    Mitch

    Hello mmenigma

For it to always do that it would have to be programmed into 1 indicator. You can make a template that uses the two indicators and applies them how you wanted without making any coding changes.

Thanks Jesse, What's the process for creating a template that combines them both? If I right click in the indicator space it looks like it wants to save as new chart template.

        Hello mmenigma,

You would put the indicators on the chart how you want them, then right click -> Templates -> save as. Because those are two separate indicators you would need to use a chart template to control their placement in an automated way. The alternative would be to physically combine their code so they are a single indicator.

Is it possible to save just the combined indicators as something that can be added to other charts as the combined indicator? The save as method you described saves the entire chart as a template.

            Hello mmenigma,

            Thanks for your message

Unfortunately, the only way to accomplish what you desire, loading both indicators on the same panel, will be to save a chart template with both indicators loaded on the same panel. This is the only possible way since the scale of your indicators is different. Combining them into one indicator script would not be possible.

The link below contains information on how to save a chart template.
