Time Bar Overlay on Renko Chart

Good morning,
I want to find out the best way to go about overlaying a time bar on a Renko chart. I want to have the time bars open, close and time to be displayed with a box with the high and low as a vertical line. Has anyone tried this? And if so, what did you find that worked best?

Hello laoshr,

To overlay a time bar on the renko you can use the chart data series menu for that or also drag and drop a time series over the renko. To display something custom on the time bars you can apply a script to the time bars and also drag that script into the same panel as the renko bars.

I've seen the Renko overlaid on the time chart but was looking for the other way around. So, I want to have a rectangle print from the open and close of the last 5-minute bar with a horizontal line at the high and low of that 5-minute bar. I was looking to have the rectangle background opacity down but you could see the movement for every 5 minutes.

Would I be able to do this using the strategy builder to create?

With the strategy builder you can only execute code on one series, the primary series, so that would not be possible. In manually coded script you can execute code on a secondary series to draw something for those bars however it will still be associated with the primary sees. Renko is not time based so you may or may not have bars for the times that you specify for the rectangle.
