    Namespace already contains a definition for ...

    Dear Support Team,
    I'm workin on an indicator and everything worked fine, until I got an error message for just about every indicator installed. ADX is only one example:
    @ADX.cs,The namespace 'NinjaTrader.NinjaScript.Indicators' already contains a definition for 'ADX',CS0101,36,15,

    The other error I get looks like this:
    @ADX.cs,The call is ambiguous between the following methods or properties: 'Indicator.ADX(ISeries<double>, int)' and 'Indicator.ADX(ISeries<double>, int)',CS0121,175,21,

    and:
    @ADX.cs,Ambiguity between 'ADX.Period' and 'ADX.Period',CS0229,52,5,

    This is repeated for every indicator installed. I assume there must be a double somewhere but I have no idea where to look. Do you have any help for me?

    Thank you for your post.

    Yes, this means there is likely a duplicate copy of the ADX indicator file. Navigate to the Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/Indicators folder, and delete the duplicate copy of the indicator. Then try compiling again.

    Please let me know if this doesn't guide you in the right direction.

      Thank you for coming back to me _Gaby. I don't have any duplicate files in my indicators Folder. Also these error messages appear for every single indicator. I attached a screenshot. I don't know what causes the problem... I wanted to uninstall any addons that might cause the problem . NT only lets me do that if all the errors ar gone. Click image for larger version

            I notice you have OneDrive installed, this can cause issues with NT. I have seen it create duplicate files before by trying to back-up.

            Is there perhaps an NT folder within OneDrive?

              The OneDrive Folder is not connected to my microsoft account exactly for that reason. I have other MS Office applications that are signed in but I made a seperate local user account on my PC to prevent OneDrive from syncing Ninjatrader. So that folder is empty. I just double checked.

                Hello,

                Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.


                You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support


                Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

                    You can send an email directly to support from your email. Please send us an email at scriptingsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com.

                    Additionally, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
                    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
                    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
                    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
