If we modify the code, what license can it be distributed under, if at all? Can modified code be uploaded to the ecosystem? I do see that ninjatrader support team have modified the code in the past so it seems there's some kind of license or copyright assignment.

Thank you for your post.
Scripts for the User App Share are not licensed, they are open-source.
If you modify a script with your own logic you can upload that to the Ecosystem. Although I might add that as a courtesy you could mention that it is a modified version of the original developer's code.
