Indicator Names / File Names

I see that NT does not want any extra characters in Indicator names when generating with the wizard. I do see you can rename the indicator file after the fact but with the warning...

Is there an official position on adding character like an underscore to make the file name more readable?

I have done it and I can see NT still functions with files like "My_Indicator_Average"

Just curious if this is still not recommended even though its possible

Thank you for your post.

You can add underscores to your file names. The NinjaScript Wizard will not allow you to add underscores but you can rename the indicator and use an underscore in its name.

The reason for this is that NinjaTrader follows the Microsoft class naming guidelines, which suggests to not use underscores in class names. However this is just a suggestion, you can still add the underscore.
