Multiple data series optimization

From CPU and RAM utilization perspective what would be better:
use one secondary data series that is the lowest common denominator and derive other time frames from it or add multiple data series?
For example, with one minute data series we can plot for 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minute SMA vs adding all those data series separately.

I am not sure what you mean to derive other series from the smallest, If you added a 1 minute data series you would still have to add 5,10,15,30,60 if you wanted to calculate the SMA on each of those series. What you described would require adding each of those series individually and then supplying the series of choice to the SMA indicator for calculations.

Here's an example of what I mean: 1 minute SMA(100) is the same as SMA(20) on 5 minute

If that works correctly for your goal you can do that. To use the actual bar data you would still need to add those series in order to have it actually calculate based on the bar data.
