I’d like to use a script to set up an alert

Hi,

I have successfully configured the alerts as I wanted.

Now, I need to know if it’s possible to automate this process. For example, I have a horizontal line, and I’d like to use a script to set up an alert that triggers whenever the price exceeds that zone, using a shared service.

The idea is to mark specific zones with horizontal lines and then run a script to configure alerts automatically, so I don’t need to set them up manually for each zone.

You can trigger an alert from a NinjaScript by calling the Alert() method.

Emails can also be sent from NinjaScripts using the SendMail() method.

To share with a share service, call the Share() method.

Please note, Alert(), SendMail(), and Share() only work in real-time. Calling these in State.Historical will have no effect.


For triggering an action when a price crosses a manually drawn horizontal line, you would need to loop through the DrawObjects collection, cast as the appropriate type, and then use CrossAbove() / CrossBelow() in a condition with the Close series and the drawObject.StartAnchor.Price.
