Build size comparison v8.1.2.1 and v8.1.3.0

I have noticed a build size increase between these versions building the same set of indicators.

Has there been a major change to the build format or maybe I am missing something?

Yes, there has been a change with 8.1.3.0 which embes Agile with the export for obfuscation.

This was due to a change to the Rosyln compiler and a new version of Agile which now allows NinjaScripts to be written in C# 8.

Does this mean an Indicator build with v8.1.2.1 is only good for v8.1.2.1?

And a build with v8.1.3.0 is only good for v8.1.3.0?

Could you outline the compatibility between versions?

Hello knowmad,

Exports with 8.1.3.0 should import into previous versions as long as there isn't any code that was a code breaking change and vice versa.

Our support and development teams have tested and confirmed this is working, but there have been reports from very few users that this isn't working on specific machines that our development is investigating further. If you run into any issues and can provide more information, our development would appreciate this.

Thanks for the clarification.

I have had an issue with 8.1.3.0 and exporting a collection of indicators using Agile for NT version 6.9.1.2

I uninstalled 8.1.3.0, reinstalled 8.1.2.1 and re exported the collection this cleared the problem.

Is there an update for Agile required to export with the NT update?

6.9.1.2 is the new version for 8.1.2.1 and 8.1.3.0. This should be downloaded from the help guide.

Can you reproduce exporting a new test script with no logic added?

If not, may I have you provide a version of the custom script to the minimal amount of code (in a single script if possible) that can reproduce on 8.1.3.0?
If I am also able to reproduce, this may us see if there is something in the code the developers need to adjust for.

I have reverted to building with v8.1.2.1 and will follow up with this at some later stage.
