Question about indicators in combination with strategy

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble understanding the indicators on NinjaTrader, especially when I use them in a strategy.

to start: how is it possible that the lines of the indicators aren’t exactly the same as they are in Tradingview? As shown in the attachments.

Secondly I am using the exact same strategy in Tradingview as I am doing in NinjaTrader. Why don’t I get the same signals? I don’t mind that I don’t get the exact same signals in both platforms, but the difference is just too big to ignore. As shown in the attachments.
In Tradingview I need to decrease risk, so I would get less signals and in Ninjatrader I almost need to take on more risk to even get a signal.

I’m trying to understand why that’s the case so I can make the correct steps in my settings.

Hello trimpy,

When comparing against any other platform there can be a variety of reasons why indicators may not match. To know why they are different you would need to debug the indicators in both platforms to make sure they did exactly the same logical operation and used exactly the same data.

The same answer would apply for the strategy, to know why thats different would require debugging it in both platforms. You can use Prints in NinjaTrader to see how the strategies logic is working.
