How do I detect if I'm in Playback or have a live connection

I have an indicator where I need to know if I have a live or am in playback to determine to run certain code.

Is there an easy way to find out which connection I have?

Try something like this,

if (Cbi.Connection.PlaybackConnection != null)
    Print("Connection is Playback");
else if (Connection.Connections.Count > 0)
{
    if (Bars == null || Bars.Count == 0 || Bars.Instrument == null || Bars.Instrument.GetMarketDataConnection() == null)
        Print("Connection is not Live");
    else
        Print("Connection is Live");
}
else
    Print("No connection");
