    Question about Darvas

    Hello
As you can see on the attached image, the "current" levels of the Darvas boxes are correct but the past levels are not identical on the chart and in the data box.
On the image, the level is 113.070 on the chart and 113.218750 in the data box.
How can I retrieve the level that corresponds to what's displayed and not what's in the data box?
    Thanks for your help

    Hello RookyNT8,

    Thank you for your post.

The chart markers are always displaying the current levels of the indicator, not historical levels. Hovering over historical bars will display the Darvas value for those bars in the Data Box.

You can obtain these values using Darvas().Upper[int barsAgo] and Darvas().Lower[int barsAgo].

      Thank you for your reply.
I still have a question. The indicator was calculated over a 52-week period (in the original book) but I've looked at the indicator code and I can't find this reference, but I'm new to the code too and I may have missed something.
What is the calculation period for your indicator?
      Thanks

        Hello,

From the Investopedia page linked in the Help Guide:

"A stock is considered to be in a Darvas box when the price action rises above the previous high but falls back to a price not far from that high."

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Maybe the discrepancy is due to the conversion to decimal pricing of interest rate notes and bond futures, such as your example ZN.
