Losing Grid Lines when Adding Indicator to Data Series Panel

For some reason, I am unable to get Horizontal or Vertical Grid Lines to paint properly. When I enter Properties and select Grid Line - Vertical/Visible, I get the correct colour and spacing on the secondary panel (e.g. RSI panel). Nothing appears on the main Data Series panel.

When I load a symbol-only chart, all grid lines do appear. Lines are still there when I add an RSI panel, and also a Data Series overlay that plots previous day OHLC.

Where it falls apart is when I add a specific (custom) Data Series indicator that paints quite a few lines, via the Draw.HorizontalLine construct. I have made sure that the H-Grid lines appear at different increments to the Draw.HorizontalLine's. In any case, the V_Grid lines have already disappeared.

    Suggestions please.

    Hello Griesha_uk,

Does the custom indicator have DrawHorizontalGridLines / DrawVerticalGridLines set to true?

Is the indicator being added to the price panel or a separate panel?

      Thank you Chelsea B,

As referenced, I had indeed set DrawHorizontalGridLines to false.

I changed that, recompiled, and restarted NT8. Sadly, that didn't fix it. However, I discovered that in needed to remove the indicator from the chart and the re-Add. This worked.

Down side is that I needed to change and re-enter parameters on 12 charts!!

      All done now. Thanks

        Hello Griesha_uk,

Was this changed in State.SetDefaults or State.Configure?

In State.Configure all you would need to do is reload.

If this was in State.SetDefaults you would need to remove the indicator from the chart and add a new instance to pull the defaults. The defaults are only pulled when adding a new instance, not when restarting NinjaTrader or opening a workspace.
