    Rockie Question About Close[0]

    Hi,

    Obviously if your indicator is set to Calculate = Calculate.OnPriceChange;

    Then Close[0] will not just refer to the Close of the current bar, but the current price.

    Without changing Calculate to Calculate.OnBarClose or using Close[1]

    Is there another way to write "wait until the very last second of the bar, then print the Close[0] price?"

    Thank you.

    Hello davydhnz,

    You could do that on the first tick of a new bar, you would print the Close[1] on the new bar. The tick that closes the bar is also the tick that opens the new bar.

      NinjaTrader_Jesse,

      I was hoping not to use the Close[0] method as it would require a major rewrite of the existing code,
      but it's the first time I've used on first tick for OnPriceChange.

      I assumed wrongly that it was only for Calculate.OnEachTick.

      So it's good to know that,

      Thanks for your reply!
