Tick volume and number of trades indicators

    Hi all.

I have some questions about ninjatrader 8. There are 5 indicators in sierra charts that I can't find in ninjatrader 8, perhaps you guys can help me.

    Those 5 indicators are:

    1. Number of trades.
    2. Ask volume
    3. Bid volume
    4. Uptick volume
    5. Downtick volume

I've taken a snapshot of my sierra chart example. Are there such indicators for ninjatrader 8?

    Thanks.

    Hello GeeWee,

    Thank you for your post.

A list of indicators that come with NinjaTrader by default may be found in the platform itself when adding an indicator to a chart, or here in the help guide:The number of trades is likely similar to the VOL indicator:The Buy/Sell Volume indicator shows a histogram of trades that are buys (at the ask or above) or sells (at the bid or below) which may be what you are looking for:Volume Up Down shows volume data in different colors depending on whether the current bar is an up bar or a down bar:If the system indicators don't suit your needs, you may be able to find relevant, publicly available, indicators on our NinjaTrader Ecosystem website:
Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:

Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

    To Import:
    1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
    2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
    3. Select the downloaded .zip file
    4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:
    • Right-click your chart > Indicators... > Select the Indicator from the 'Available' list on the left > Add > OK

Here is a short video demonstration of the import process:
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
