Saving Scripts

I know you can export a zip dll file, but what if you just want a script file?

I'm asking this because sometimes I've tried importing indicators into new versions of ninja
and they are rejected which means you can't even see the code.

I've written a lot of indicators now for my personal use and I have two questions.

1) What's the best way of archiving the scripts to keep all the tab formating exactly as it appears in ninja in an open source way?

2) Is there any way to lock indicators just for family and friends so that they can't be passed around, but machine locked that are free or inexpensive?

Thanks for your post.

You could export the NinjaScript as Source File instead of as an assembly (dll) if you want to be able to see to code of an imported script.

NinjaTrader provides a free vendor license management service for user authentication to qualified 3rd party developers. This could be used to 'lock' an indicator so it cannot be shared. To use the vendor license management service you would need to sign up to be a NinjaTrader vendor.

You could contact info[at]ninjatraderecosystem[dot]com to request to become a vendor to use the license management service.
