Heiken ashi bars not available in NT8 for a new bar type - help please

Price changes as a bar type was added in NT8 by code. If one right clicks on a chart and goes to data series>type, price changes appears in this drop down - see 'new bar type' png. However, if heiken ashi is selected from this drop down, a new row called base period type appears. In that drop down, the newly created bar type called 'price changes' is not present - see 'listing' png. How can this be fixed please ?

The HeikenAshi bars type is not developed to use custom bars types for the 'Base Period Type' parameter of HeikenAshi bars. This is why you are not able to use the custom PriceChanges bars type for the 'Base Period Type' parameter of Heiken Ashi bars.

Something you could consider is creating a copy of the Heiken Ashi BarsType script and modifying it yourself to use the custom PriceChanges bars type as a Base Period Type.

To create a copy of the Heiken Ashi BarsType to modify, open a New > NinjaScript Editor window, open the BarsTypes folder, double-click on the 'HeikenAshiBarsType' file, right-click in the code, select 'Save as', name the copy of the file, and click OK.
