What changed to cause this

Up until now 8.1.1.3 Version I could take a custom indicator and Save As a new name, upon doing that the indicator would open in a new tab and

change the Name and also change public class: public class NewName: Indicator

NOW it does not change, so you end up with errors thaat the namespace already exsists

is that how Ninja Planned it or is this a gliche

Are you sure the indicator in question does not use an additional namespace? If so, add the indicator name to the namespace name:
namespace MyNameSpace_MyIndicatorName
This way, when you save as new filename MyIndicatorName2, the namespace name would also change to MyNameSpace_MyIndicatorName2 and will not throw the error.

i did change to new name, maybe I am mistaken and the newName is when Save As on Strategies and NOT on indicators

Saving As with a new name will change the INDICATOR NAME also but if using an additional namespace in the indicator, that name will stay the same, throwing the error. Instructions above will make the namespace name change automatically. If the indicator is not using an additional namespace, you have some other problem.
