to share and indicator

Hello ,if i go in my ninjatrader indicator folder and take the .cs file indicator and paste on another computer indicator folder ,will thie indicator work on the new computer ??

Hello janio973,

Yes however you would need to use the NinjaScript editor to compile and make sure there are not any errors. Some indicators may require other files so its generally best to just make an export of that indicator and then transfer the zip file to the other pc and import it.

thanks for your assistance NinjaTrader_Jesse ,Im having issues trying to export my strategy,so Im looking for another ways to share my indicators and strategies

Hello janio973,

What issues are you having when trying to export? If you plan to share a script to other people it would be expected to make a zip as most users expect to use the normal import process. If that's the case it would be important to just figure out the export problem. If this is just for your own PC then yes you can copy the .cs files to the correct locations and do a compile.

Make sure to check the control center log tab after trying to export to see if errors are listed.
