Background color shifts to EMA

I have tried to write an indicator and keep failing. I am looking for a simple indicator script that will color the background red when an EMA is going down and green when the EMA is going up. I would like to set which EMA period I am using too.

I was looking for that idea, but to plot the chart background color the way the line shifts color.

If the line in that script works like you wanted then you could modify that script to also use BackBrush to color the chart background color:
