Can I get the actual time of a bar from the data feed?

I searched and can't find an answer to this, but is there a way to get the data feed time of a bar? I don't want my PC clock time, I want the time that the data provider uses so I know exactly when a bar will be done forming. Is this possible?

You mean you want times displayed on your charts
using the same time zone as the exchange?

Have you tried setting the Timezone in NinjaTrader?

The default Timezone comes from your PC, but you
    can change it,

    CC -> Tools -> Options -> Timezone

thanks bltdavid, but I want to get the actual time of the broker so that I can make a countdown timer based on the broker time instead of PC time. Even though I sync my PC clock, I still end up a second or 2 off from the broker time so the bar change doesn't quite sync with the countdown timers I have seen.

        Who is your data provider?

No matter which Timezone your charts are being displayed in,
you are probably already getting the actual time of the bar from
the data provider -- though, it looks like if you're using realtime
data from IB or TDA, that might not be the case.

        See here:
        https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...y_provider.htm

Perhaps NT Support could clarify what is meant by 'Native'
vs 'Local' in the column labeled 'Real-Time Timestamp'?

How often do you sync your PC clock?

If your PC clock is off by 2 seconds, then perhaps you should
sync your PC clock more often?

            I use 'Dimension 4' -- works great.

It has a feature that allows you to specify how often it should
            sync your PC clock.

Mine is set to 2 minutes.

Hi, I believe the 2 second difference would be caused by the PC clock being out of sync with, use bltdavid's suggestion for Dimension 4 as this will keep the clock in sync automatically. You can check your PC clock sync with internet time using https://time.is/

The Local real time tick timestamp means the real time incoming tick is timestamped in your PC's local timezone. A Native real-time tick timestamp is timestamped in your broker's time zone.

I use NT continuum for data. I have been resyncing my clock each morning before I start trading. Even when I sync, time.is says my clock is off by .6 seconds. I think that, combined with the fact that I have 6 charts with a bunch of indicators running means my bar timer is behind from starting late and being the last indicator to update. I think I will put time.is on my screen when I trade since it seems to match exactly with the bar changes on NT. I did load Dimension4 and now it says my clock time is exact. Thanks for the help
