Alert for cusotm indicator

Hi I just bought a custom indicator but it didnt ocme with alerts. I tried creating an alert for when it appears on the screen but it doesnt work. Im thinking it needs to find som etype of condition but i just want a alert letting me know it popped on the screen. Whats the settings for that to happen. Ive tried so many things; maybe im missing something?

You are correct, alerts do require a condition to be set. For more information about alert conditions:

You mentioned you want an alert to let you know "it popped on the screen" - I am not sure what you are referring to. Please provide a more detailed explanation. What does the indicator do and what do you mean that it pops on the screen?

Appreciate the response back! Heres what it looks like. Simply looking for price action. not much in the settings for it. Im just wondering what settings in alerts could i use to get this to "beep". Im not sure how to set the alerts conditions accurately. Very difficult on my side lol.

I see 'equal,grater,etc' conditions, just not sure what to put you know.

SInce you stated you purchased the indicator - was the custom indicator provided with source code that you can edit or is it a complied library? What does the indicator do? Perhaps provide a link to the indicator.

What appears on the screen?

The grey line?
The magenta line?
The cyan line?
The grey text?

What are you trying to make an alert for?

If it's the text, an alert cannot be made for this. The developer will need to add a plot to the indicator and set a value when the text appears.
