    Output window keeps printing info after indicator removal from chart

    Dear Ninja,

    I use output window for indicator debuging to print some important info but I noticed strange behavior.

    My problem is that when I remove indicator from my chart then output window keeps printing info from my indicator. I also tried to close all charts and open new fresh chart (without any indicator) but result is the same....output window still keeps printing.

    It looks to me like this indicator script still runs at the background.

    Could you please help me to get rid of that?

    Thank you for your post.

    So I may better assist you, please answer the following:
    • What information is being printed to the output window?
    • Are the timestamps of the prints accurate to your PC clock or do they seem to be running behind the expected time?
    • What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? This may be found at Control Center > About > Help. For example, version 8.0.XX.X
    • Do you receive any error messages on the screen or on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these messages report?

      please see below answers to your questions...

      *Any kind of information...for example simple text string
      *Timestamps are correct
      *8.0.25.0 64-bit
      *Log tab clear without any error

        Thank you for your reply.

        I see that you're using an older version of NinjaTrader 8. To update NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:
        • First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
        • Click on the link: https://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
        • Enter your license key and press Submit
        • Select 'Download'
        • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
        ​Please test your indicator after the update - if it is still printing to the output window after removing it from a chart I would like to review your diagnostic information. Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com so I may investigate this matter further.
        • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
        • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to an email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com
          • Include "ATTN Emily 03644983" in the subject line along with a link to this forum thread in the body of the email
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders
