VOL indicator on Renko Bar Type Charts

Hi Ninja Experts,

I need your guidance about the code of VOL indicator (that comes by default along with NT-8). I explain my question with the example of SMA indicator. If we see the code of SMA indicator, we get to know that it also supports bars type where IsRemoveLastBarSupported property is true through a separate piece of code in OnBarUpdate(). Therefore, the SMA indicator will work well on Renko bar type in which IsRemoveLastBarSupported = true. However, if we see the code of VOL indicator, there is no separate code inside it for bars type where IsRemoveLastBarSupported property is true. The VOL indicator seems to simply display the incoming volume coming from the data feed. My question is that should we expect the VOL indicator to output the volume of the bar perfectly when the chart bar type is Renko where IsRemoveLastBarSupported = true? In other words, the VOL indicator works correctly on the Renko bar type or not during Historical bars as well as real time bars?

Hello Mubeen Haider,

The VOL indicator does not have any calculations that would need to be recalculated if the open price of the bar changes.

The open price changing does not affect the Volume[0] of the bar.
