    Unhandled exception: Stack empty.

    Hi,

I have developed an indicator. I can add sometimes add it to a chart but sometimes I receive the following error message: Unhandled exception: Stack empty.
and NT crashes. I can't click anywhere.

    What can be the cause?

    Thanks

    Hello Vincere,

    Thank you for your note.

I would like to review your diagnostic files to get the full error information. Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
    • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to scriptingsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com
      • Include the following information in the subject line: ATTN Emily C
    • Once the email has been sent, you can delete the compressed folders.
Thanks in advance; I look forward to resolving this item.

        Hello Vincere,

        Thank you for your patience.

I sincerely apologize; there was a typo on my end. I have since corrected my post to reflect the proper email address, which is: scriptingsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com

I look forward to receiving your diagnostic files and investigating the cause of the Unhandled Exception.

I finally got the OneDrive issue resolved but NT is STILL crashing. I have narrowed it down to the MES mini futures chat. I can use other tickers but not this one. As soon as I try to add an indicator, the MES chart will freeze the platform. I can add the indicators to any other ticker. MES is the only one I trade and my platform has been crashing since I updated to the newest version 3 weeks ago. Very frustrating. Was told it was because of OneDrive well that is fixed and it still crashes. Please help me.

            Hello brownbrenda,

            Thank you for your note.

I have removed the attached log and trace files as they may contain sensitive information that should not be shared publicly on the forum. Please send our support team an email to open a new case so we may assist you accordingly. You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support. Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
If the platform does not allow you to send the files from the Help menu, you may send them manually in an email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with the following steps:
            • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
            • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder
            • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to your new email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com
              • Please include a brief description of your inquiry
            • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders
Thank you for your patience. We look forward to assisting you further.
