Horizontal line permanently drawn in the Chart

Hello,
I would like my indicator, which draws me horizontal lines at certain candles, that these lines remain permanently in the chart. Is this even possible with the horizontal line? Or do I have to use another line so that they remain permanently with my signals?

Hello IntyRocket,

This is not intended functionality of an indicator. The indicator when removed will remove all of its drawing objects, but would draw them back in the historical data when re-applied. So the drawing objects are suppose to only be drawn when the indicator is applied. (Which would prevent charts from getting spammed with drawing objects)

However, it may be possible using unsupported code to change the drawing object's owner to the chart.

Exactly, the horizontal lines should be drawn only when the indicator is applied to the chart. When the indicator is removed, all the lines on the chart are erased. The problem is that the horizontal line is automatically drawn by the indicator when a tracked candle appears on the chart. It remains on the chart until the next tracked candle appears. When a new candle is detected, the previous horizontal line is erased from the chart and drawn for the new candle. But I would like that for each candle that is detected by the indicator, this horizontal line remains drawn without being removed when a new signal appears.
But as I understood your post, this is generally not possible to implement or program.

I have another question that just occurred to me. If I apply my strategy e.g. to the NQ, can I program my strategy in such a way that the strategy determines the signals in the NQ and sets the orders in the MNQ, on the basis of the signal in the NQ?

Yes, you can add an instrument to a script with AddDataSeries() then place orders using the BarsInProgressIndex of that series.
