Why have those indicators been deleted? Is any request from a vendor that sells simple indicators considered as potential IP infringement and enough to avoid the NT community from accessing free and open code indicators that can lead to further developments and utilization of NT platform? By following this principle, first developer of an undisclosed moving average indicator could claim infringement on any open code moving average indicator! Does NT follow a vendor first policy instead of users first policy?

Weis Wave Delta
I've shared some indicators during last couple of days, one is related to Weis waves and the other two to different volume delta readings. I've received a notification concerning potential infringement of IP (???) when all I have done is developing simple open code indicators to share to the community. Indeed, the cumulative delta oscillator is just an oscillator calculated based on an SMA with a period (e.g. 20) of the cumulative delta data obtained from a volume delta indicator coded long ago (also based on publicly accessible information); the volume delta histogram is obtained by adding the volume deltas in blocks depending on candle direction/color and the WeisWaveDelta is a modification of Dorschden's PriceActionSwing with cumulated swing volume delta values on top of cumulated swing volume values. I have given credit to Dorschden work as well.

Hello GillRymhes,
Thanks for your post.
These are always very sensitive matters. As I mentioned in my private message to you, I will be happy to continue discussion over email.
If you believe we have made an incorrect move here, we do want to consider that feedback, but the public forum would not be the avenue.
Please email at scriptingsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with the text "Attn Jim" and we can discuss further.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Just a comment here that Dorschden's Price Action Swing indicator package is an open source and publically available code on Futures.io that non-Elite members can download for free (over 45,000 downloads). Any improvement to publically available open source codes for sharing are generally accepted practice as long as it follows Author's rules (if any), introduces new features, proper credits are given, and the source file name is minimally modified to indicate a specific revison, addition, etc.
In this case, there does not seem to be any "potential infringement", however, the indicator Weis Wave Delta does not seem to include any new or different features compared to the original PAS indicator. It does not plot the swing "accumulated" volume delta value. It plots the swing accumulated absolute volume values, that exactly match PAS values for swing volume.
However, the package deleted also incudes a companion indicator Volume Delta, that although is redundant to other publically available open source Delta Volume indicators, should not have any issue for sharing as was posted.Last edited by aligator; 06-23-2022, 11:51 AM.

Hi Alligator,
I do not understand how can you say this:
"the indicator Weis Wave Delta does not seem to include any new or different features compared to the original PAS indicator. It does not plot the swing "accumulated" volume delta value. It plots the swing accumulated absolute volume values, that exactly match PAS values for swing volume"
My improvement consisted exactly on adding said cum. volume delta information. I attach an image with cum. volume+ cum.volume delta (top panel), only cum. volume delta (middle panel) and only cum. volume information (bottom panel) -easy to configure by setting colors to transparent in parameters configuration-.
That's exactly to follow the spirit of Dorschden and other free contributors.1 PhotoLast edited by GillRymhes; 06-23-2022, 01:03 PM.

I have read alligator's comments and there seems to be no complexity in this matter ... it's as simple as ABC. There are various publicly available versions and flavors of the PA indicators on Futures.IO for non-Elite members. Please, lets have these indicators back at the App Share.

Hi... the problem or infringement is that they make money selling a simple indicator and some vendors sell it for $1499...

Let's see if today is the day for an official answer. NinjaTrader_Jim took some days off but apparently was working in the case. I provided all the information requested about the developping process and he should re-upload the indicators in a short time. It is very shameful to have a platform that reacts very fast to baseless requests of an angry third-party or vendor but does not take seriously users of the NT8 community with a real non-commercial collaborative spirit.

It is already three weeks that I'm waiting for an answer from NinjaTrader_Jim . He's very active answering many other questions in the forum and is not keeping his word concerning the blocked WeisWaveDelta indicator. What's up?

I've received a good number of private messages asking for the WeisWaveDelta indicator. You may find it here:

GillRymhes I've been using your delta volume indicator, but for some reason, it will not let me enable it with strategy builder. I can compile it into my strategy, but when I try to backtest it with market replay it keeps unchecking the strategy. Any help with this would be appreciated.
