Since COT data is only released every Friday, is the COT indicator not live in real-time.

Thanks for your post.
COT data is downloaded to the platform each time NinjaTrader is restarted (closed and reopened) and the COT indicator process that downloaded data and displays it on a live chart.
Note that you would need to enable the 'Download COT data at startup' option.
To get data for the COT indicator you must go to Tools> Options> Market Data and check “Download COT data at startup” and then restart NinjaTrader.
