Hi, How do i reference the close price two bars in the future ?

Thanks for your post.

There is no support for accessing future bars in NinjaTrader since these bars have not been processed yet. Only the current bar and past bars are able to be accessed.

This is because in a real-world context, we would not know what future bars would include. The script should wait until it has processed X number of bars before it makes a reference to those bars.

hi i understand what you mean, however all futures bars will have a open ,high , low and close.. will it be possible with bar number?

Thanks for your note.

No, the price value of future bars cannot be referenced since these bars have not been created or processed. This would be the equivalent of calling your broker and asking what the price of a stock will be in 10 minutes.

NinjaTrader is not designed to access the future. Only the current prices and the past, the same as a trader would in real-life over the phone.

ok, we are about to mis understand each other , i am thinking like a programmer while you are thinking like a trader/broker. any way thank you very much for your input. i found a back door solution to the issue.
