Turn off/Ignore symbol search in Chart

Hi everyone!

As the title suggests I am looking for a way to turn off the chart function which automatically triggers the symbol search bar in the middle of the chart when any standard keyboard key is pressed. If it can't be turned off through an interface is there any way I might circumvent it programmatically?

I program a lot in my indicators using OnKeyDown and being limited in which keys I can use because of the search bar popping up is really annoying.
