Indicator background color

How can I set the background color of a whole indicator, without changing the color of other indicator backgrounds?

I have a lot of indicators and it gets more and more difficult to find out where the next indicator begins.
Alternating the background color from black to grey for example would ease this a lot.

Hello Bobin,

Indicators are going to layer in a panel. You would need one indicator that does all of the rendering, and decide when and when not to render.
