    Indicator - Inherit properties

    Hello,

I have a question regarding indicator inheritance:

I have a base class and a child class. The child class can access the properties from the base class. The properties are also shown in the indicator window, when I add it to the chart. The problem is in the generated code. The child class does not have properties from the base class in the generated code. This causes a problem when I try to use the indicator in the strategy. The strategy is generated with all properties accessible by the child class (ChildClassTest1 = ChildClassTest(Close, true, @"asd", 1), but the generated code in the ChildClassTest is only generated with properties from the child class.

So my question is: Is there a way to pass the properties from the base class to child, so they will be included in the generated code?

Attached is a base class, child class and a generated strategy.

    Hello Devside_Victor,

    Thank you for your post.

Creating your own inheritance structure beyond inheriting from the Indicator class is not supported. We would expect issues to arise since reflection is used to add indicator objects and this would cause problems with that.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.
