    minimum bars since Session start

    Hi,
    How would I write a condition that confirms that a certain number of bars has passed in a session, rth for example, before evaluating [0] ?
    I'm having trouble with an indicator that checks if the close of [0] is greater than the close of [20] , but I don't want the close of [20] to be a bar from a prior session/day. I want [20] to be at least the first bar of a session or greater.
    thanks,
    David

    Hello David,

    Thanks for your post.

    Please take a look at https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...tradingday.htm

    Another possibility to consider would be: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...rofsession.htm

    I would suggest trying either of those.

    In the case of Bars.IsFirstBarOfSession, what you would do is when that is true is to save the bar number (CurrentBar) into an int type variable and then you can check if (CurrentBar - yourVariable) > 20) { // do something}
