Modifications to chart WPF elements and tab considerations issue

HI

I have developed a chart trader panel based on the above designed by Chelsea.
It all works except for one thing.
Every time I compile NinjaScript the chart panel is rendered useless. The cursor turns to a double arrow ( like you would have when you grab something to resize it) and if I click the Chart Trader panel shrinks to a tiny size.

If I don't compile whilst using it - it works just fine and behaves normally.

My code is attached - I have taken out all of the superfluous code - so this behaviour happens with this version.

Can you see where the issue might be?

Are you compiling after making changes to this indicator and then that's when you see the issue? You should ensure you're always removing the indicator and re-adding it to the chart when you make changes to ensure all changes are recognized.

I'm not able to replicate this. If you open a new chart, add the indicator anew, then compile does it do the same?

Thank you for your patience. Kate is having trouble posting this so I'm posting this on her behalf:

Let's have you test in a clean environment to see if another custom item in your installation may be causing the issue.

To create a clean temporary NinjaTrader folder:
1. Shutdown NinjaTrader
2. Rename (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8 to (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8.original
3. Download the NinjaTrader installation package from the link below

4. Run the repair from this (if the repair is unsuccessful, uninstall and then re-install NinjaTrader)


This will recreate the NinjaTrader 8 folder in(My) Documents.

• Copy open-source script from the original environment from the Custom > Indicators folder.
  • (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8.original > bin > Custom > Indicators
• To the new clean environment
  • (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > bin > Custom > Indicators
• Compile the script.

Once compiled, connect to the Simulated Data Feed, open a chart and test the indicator.

To switch back to your original environment:

• Shutdown NinjaTrader
• Rename (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8 to (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8.secondary
• Rename (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8.original to (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8
• Start NinjaTrader

Please let me know the results of your testing.
