    Wave Indicator

The link below has a download for a TD Wave indicator but it is in NT 7.
Does anybody know if there has been a NT 8 version created?

I have searched the ecosystem with no luck.

    Hello sdauteuil,

    Thank you for your reply.

I'm not aware of a version for NinjaTrader 8, however, you could certainly convert it to NinjaTrader 8 or contact a NinjaScript Consultant to have it converted for you.

I'll leave this thread open in case any of our users have a NinjaTrader 8 version they'd like to post.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.

Is there a protocol for converting from NT7 to NT8?

If I were to copy and paste the code in the ninja script editor from NT7 to NT8 and corrected any compiling errors would that be a good approach?

Can I have NT7 and NT8 on the same computer so I can view the code?

      Thank you

        Hello sdauteuil,

        Thank you for your reply.

There are a number of changes in the structure of scripts so you wouldn't necessarily want to copy and paste the whole thing, but parts you'd be able to do that with.

Here's a link to our help guide that goes over Code Breaking Changes between NinjaTrader 7 and NinjaTrader 8:

        https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...ng_changes.htm

You can also contact one of our professional NinjaScript Consultants or Educators who would be eager to create or modify this script at your request or assist you with your script. Please let me know if you would like a list of professional NinjaScript Consultants or Educators who would be happy to create or modify any script at your request.

And yes, you can have NinjaTrader 7 and NinjaTrader 8 open at the same time on the same PC, they would generally not interfere with the other, however, it'd be likely you could only connect in one or the other - most data providers only allow one connection at a time to a specific account.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.
