Which would be a more efficient use of resources?

    Hi,

I'd like to know if I had an indicator which I can either use as 1) a file and select the parts of it that I want to use at any point in time OR 2) I could break it into 4 separate indicators, which would be a more efficient use of resources?

    Regards
    Kay Wai

    Define 'efficient'.

    My advice:
If you have a sufficiently beefy system to begin with, it probably won't matter.

Otherwise, it depends on what this indicator and the 4 separate parts actually do.
It may also depend on how many charts you intend to use with these indicators.

My opinion is break them up if that makes the most functional sense, but there
is nothing wrong with having yourself a 'super' indicator that performs more than
one task -- your choice, since frankly it's nothing but pure speculation on our
part -- you've provided very little read meat for us to chew on.

If you're worried about NinjaTrader resources, such as the internal Bar Series
and such needed by each indicator -- you're probably overburdening yourself
with the minutia of 'normal' operations.

    Just my 2˘.
