AddVolumetric question

Hello

Whan adding volumetric series

AddVolumetric(string instrumentName, Data.BarsPeriodType baseBarsPeriodType, int baseBarsPeriodTypeValue, Data.VolumetricDeltaType deltaType, int tickPerLevel)

how would it be if I want just the same instrument, bars period type and bars period type value as selected in chart?

AddVolumetric(null, BarsPeriodType, BarsPeriodTypeValue, VolumetricDeltaType.BidAsk, 1);

Null is ok for the instrument, and what about BarsPeriodType and BarsPeriodTypeValue?

Thanks for your post.

From the help guide, "Arguments supplied to AddVolumetric() should be hardcoded and NOT dependent on run-time variables which cannot be reliably obtained during State.Configure (e.g., Instrument, Bars, or user input). Attempting to add a data series dynamically is NOT guaranteed and therefore should be avoided. Trying to load bars dynamically may result in an error similar to: Unable to load bars series. Your NinjaScript may be trying to use an additional data series dynamically in an unsupported manner."

So we do not recommend but you could try doing what you propose and it may work however if you need help with your script later you would need to test with hard-coded values to verify that was not the source of the issue.
