Is the NT custom VS project compatible with Visual Studio 2022?

Thanks for your post.

Currently, Visual Studio 2022 is not supported as stated in the Help Guide documentation below. The currently supported version is Visual Studio 2019.

That said, you may still try out using Visual Studio 2022 and share your findings with the community members on the forums.

Hi, I am successfully using VS 2022, both for development and debugging. The only difference here is that you cannot start an instance of VS from NinjaScript Editor as it won't recognize version 2022. You need to open the project file directly from VS which is located here: %UserProfile%\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\NinjaTrader.Custom.csproj

If Ninjatrader is not able to support the latest Visual Studio, would it be possible to include somewhere a permanent link to the official supported version? I cannot find Visual Studio 2019 Community anymore.

If you go to the Microsoft Visual Studio site, at the bottom of the page is a link identified as "older downloads".

Is this still an issue?

I installed VS2019 and got an error, saying it is "targeting .NET Framework , Version=4.8, which is not installed". But I have 4.8.1, and I have restarted the machine, so it should pick up the install.

I have no other .NET installations.

Turns out NT8 _reall_ requires .NET framework _4.8_ not 4.8.1.

Q: we're up to .NET Framework 6 now any upgrades coming up? Not sure what advantages 6.x has ... but more features can't hurt right?
