Market Analyzer, Count Uptick minus Downtick from a group of stocks

Hi there

Is it possible to use the Market Analyzer to Count Uptick minus Downtick from a whole group of stocks? I would like to build a "TICK Index indicator similar to NYSE TICK but with my own stocks.

Thanks for your post.

The approach you can take would be to create an indicator to provide the value.

The indicator can then be used in the Market analyzer through the Market analyzer's "indicator Column" and can be used to display as you wish.

If possible can you point me in the right direction -how do I "create an indicator to provide the value" Is that in the Market Analyzer I do that? Are there any good texts

NinjaTrader uses Ninjascript to create indicators. Ninjascript is based on the C# programming language so we recommend having some understanding of C# as otherwise, it would be very difficult to learn both C# and Ninjascript while trying to create your first indicator. An option to consider would be to fire a 3rd party programmer and we can provide a link to those in the Ninjatrader Ecosystem if you are interested.

Ninjascript is based on C# Programming language and we recommend a good working knowledge of C#. We do not provide C# education/tutorials as these can be found on the internet in many places.
