Number of test occurences

Hello! I'm trying to find how many times the conditions of the indicator occured on the loaded chart. I know about CountIf() I just can't figure how to pass it to an integer (for ex: how many times price crossed below an EMA on the loaded chart). Thank you!

I'd suggest just implementing a counter variable and incrementing this each time your conditions are true. Here's a basic example of that logic:

int MyCount;

protected override void OnBarUpdate()
{
if(Your Conditions go here)
{
MyCount++;
// anything else you want to do when your conditions are true
}

Print("Conditions have occurred " + MyCount + " times);
}

If you have multiple conditions you want to keep track of, you could make a different counter variable for that so you keep the counts separate.

Thank you very much! This is what I did too but I declared the int inside the OnBarUpdate. Now I know what I was doing wrong.
