Step Wise Previous Day High Low

I see the script for the previous day hloc, but i'm wondering how i could potentially modify it so that it is stepwise for the day to allow for backtesting a strategy. So i can visually see the change in the high/low at the beginning of a new trading day so that i can more easily scan through my data

What do you specifically mean by step-wise?

What would the rules to this be?

Are you saying you don't want to reset the values at the new session and instead at an arbitrary amount of minutes or bars or something?

I actually figured it out. it was outputting at a horizontal line, but if i plot it as a regular line, it adjusts each day and doesn't move dependent on what part of the graph i'm looking at
